DHM 2573: TEXTILES

Course Description

This course explores the textiles and their uses in our world. Various textile materials and their products are introduced. The production procedures of these textile materials/products are described and their structures are discussed. The association between the structures of these materials and the properties (e.g., tensile strength, flammability, elasticity, moisture ab- sorption, and dye affinity) of their products are explained. This course also highlights the sustainability aspects of textiles. Finally, this course concludes with building an understanding of how various attributes of textile affect its end-uses.
